The Golden Calf was worshiped in Isreal when Aaron made a “molten calf” when Moses was delayed while on Mount Sinai. The Golden calf was made of gold from the people. The golden calf has appeared in the bible in Exodus 32:1 and Deuteronomy 9:7. The golden calf was worshiped by the people of Isreal and was worth a lot. The Golden calf has been refered to as valuable, and is worshiped. In a New York Times article about education The Ivory Tower is refered to as a Golden calf. It means that just because collages are recieving money for research they are valuable but not for the real reason. It should be about education but it isnt.
