Water Into Wine
Bible Verse:
The first
use of the phrase water into wine in the bible was in The Book of John, chapter
2, verse 1. Here it says, “[ Jesus Changes Water Into Wine ] On the
third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,”
The second reference to water into
wine is also in The Book of John, chapter 2, verse 9. Here it says, “and the master of the banquet
tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did
not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the
bridegroom aside”
The third use of water into wine is
in The Book of John, chapter 4, verse 46. Here it says, “Once more he visited
Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine.
And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.”
Movie:
A movie by the name of Bruce Almighty references the bible term "Water into Wine" and other biblical allusions. When the main character is eating he performs the miracle of turning water into wine just as Jesus did in the bible verse. This seem in the movie is almost like a parody to the events in the bible verse.
